Morning: demo and prep
The crew arrives around 8am with drop cloths, dust barriers, and the pre-measured wall panels. The old tub and surround come out first — usually done in under two hours.
The wall studs and subfloor get inspected. If we find rot or bad framing (rare, but possible), we address it before moving on. This is included in the base price.
Midday: base and walls
The new low-threshold shower base is set, leveled, and sealed to the drain. Then the pre-cut acrylic wall panels go up, one section at a time.
Corners and edges are sealed. No grout lines, no caulk lines that will need re-doing next year.
Afternoon: fixtures and finish
The shower valve, head, and any grab bars get installed. Glass door hardware is fitted last so it aligns perfectly to the finished walls.
Final clean-up: all packaging out, floor swept and mopped, tools loaded. Most jobs are complete by 4pm or 5pm. You shower the next morning.
