What pushes the price up
Three things move the price: size, plumbing changes, and finish level. A larger-than-standard tub cavity, moving the drain or supply lines, or upgrading to a frameless glass door and premium fixture package will each add to the base price.
Custom tile in place of the acrylic system is the biggest single upgrade — it typically adds a day or two of labor plus the cost of the tile itself.
